Who Is Jared Black? Driver Seriously Injured During Kevin Hart’s Car Crash

The car accident involving Kevin Hart has taken the Internet by storm. The actor suffered a serious back injury Saturday evening after his car swerved off the road and into a ditch off Mulholland Drive. Kevin was the passenger in the vehicle being driven by his friend Jared S. Black. Another passenger, Black’s fiance, Rebecca Broxterman, was also in the car. The three were in Hart’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, which Hart bought himself as a 40th birthday present in July. Since the accident little has been reported about the other two passengers. Here’s what we know.

WHO IS JARED BLACK?

Black is a 28 year old, actor / producer.  On social media, he goes by the last name of Jared Stantonn. He lives a pretty low key life … or at least tries to. His Instagram account is private. He does have an IMDB page. According to the profile, his works include Delirium (2015), Vigilante Diaries (2016), and Red Letter (2018).

WHAT’S HIS STATUS

According to a police report Black, “lost control of the vehicle” while driving eastbound on Mulholland Highway. Police said Black was found in the diver’s seat and found not to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Officials had to saw off the roof of the car to get him out of the vehicle. Black was reportedly airlifted to UCLA/Westwood for treatment.

WHO’S REBECCA BROXTERMAN

Broxterman is a personal trainer who frequently trains Hart’s wife Eniko Parrish. Broxterman and Black got engaged in June. She reportedly walked away unscathed.

As previously reported,  Hart left the scene of the accident and retreated to his home nearby to get medical attention. He was later admitted to Northridge Hospital where he underwent surgery on his back.

His wife told reporters that “he’s great” and in good spirits.
