Nick Cannon is adding yet another job to his resume. In addition to hosting Wild ‘n Out, a radio show, “The Masked Singer”, and being a student at Howard University, Nick is now heading over to daytime TV as the host of a new, nationally syndicated talk show in 2020. Plus, Cannon will co-produce via his production company, Ncredible Entertainment, alongside Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury.
“After leaving America’s Got Talent, I wanted to focus on developing my own talk show. I’ve always dreamed of a platform where I can speak to America and discuss pop culture, as well as the topics on everyone’s minds,” said Cannon. “When I had the opportunity to guest host at my good friend Wendy Williams’ show this year, I experienced the energy and excitement of a daytime talk show and instantly knew I found my audience.”
Yes, Cannon killed it while filling in for Wendy Williams, and were sure he’ll do the same on his show. But, in order to knock it out of the park, Nick needs the right guest. Here’s a list of folks we think he should consider first.
1) CHRISTINA MILIAN
We all remember when Nick and C. Mili were an item way back in the day, right? Well, old wounds from their relationship recently resurfaced when Christina admitted she caught Cannon cheating by snooping through his phone. However, here’s the gotcha-gotcha, Nick said the only reason she was even able to access his phone is because he wanted to get caught. He also claimed they weren’t even really together at the time. Either way you slice it, this would be good TV!
2) MARIAH CAREY
Nick and Mariah have one of the best co-parenting relationships in Hollywood. Their post-divorce vacations and holidays are enviable, and they always speak very highly of each other. So, we also think, a sit-down between the two of them would be incredibly intriguing. He would probably get MiMi to open up like never before!
Years before Nick and Mariah were married, MiMi and Eminem has a thing — Em says they dated, Mariah denies it. However, when Em started dissing Mariah on wax, Nick one ballistic and “went looking for him.” He didn’t find him at the time, but maybe now is a good time to squash the beef … on-air.
4) STEVE HARVEY
Now that Steve’s talk show has been cancelled, Nick will be the only Black man with a nationally-syndicated talk show on Daytime TV. Maybe Steve has some advice to pass down to Nick…
5) KEVIN HART
This would be a great get for Nick! If Hart stays out of the public eye until Cannon’s show premieres next year, then gives his first interview to Nick and opens up about the horrific accident he survived, it would be ratings gold for Cannon!
