Nick Cannon Say’s He’d Be “Heartbroken” If His 22-Year-Old Daughter Was Dating Diddy



The whole internet has been buzzing about Steve Harvey’s 22-year-old stepdaughter Lori allegedly dating 49-year-old rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. Now Nick Cannon (and his turban) is sharing his two cents.

In a recent interview with VladTV, the topic of relationships surfaced and Nick Cannon shared his thoughts on older and younger partners. The conversation started off about R. Kelly and his penchant for underage girls before landing on Diddy and Harvey.

“She’s what? Twenty-three? [Vlad interrupts to reply that she’s 22] And he’s 49. Twenty-two and 49. Aw, man!” Cannon exclaims. “I don’t have a problem with that, but I would heartbroken if that was my own daughter…To each his own. But I would feel like I failed as a father if I’m sitting across the table with a dude the same age as me that’s dating my daughter. I would feel like I failed.”

Ironically Cannon was 27-years-old when he wed then 38-year-old Mariah Carey, so one would think he’d be ok with May-December romances but apparently he finds it a bit unsettling … like the rest of the world.

He did make sure to reiterate, “I can’t speak on what that man got goin’,” before stating that he feels like at 22, Harvey can do whatever she wants to do. Vlad then implied that Diddy’s financials possibly played a part in Harvey accepting the situation.

In July the duo seemed to have taken their romance public when they were spotted hanging out in matching outfits in New York City. Days later they were photographed on vacation with Lori’s parents, Steve and Marjorie Harvey, in Italy. Still, neither have confirmed or denied reports that they are a couple. So there’s that …
