Iggy Azalea Opens Up About Seeking Mental Health Treatment & Leaving Twitter

An intervention may have saved Iggy Azalea’s life — now she’s better than ever and is ready for her comeback.

Things for Iggy got pretty dark. Last year, the Australian rapper’s management team staged an intervention following a string of disappointments — the end of her relationship with Nick Young, embarrassing Twitter beefs, tax liens and a scrapped second album. “They just didn’t want me to f–k up my own life, basically,” Azalea said in an interview with Cosmopolitan.

The September cover girl opened up about her 2-weeks at the Arizona treatment center saying she struggled with, “not being able to separate well-intended criticism from trolling.”

As told by PageSix, “She also explored the difficulties of launching into the public eye so quickly at such a young age.”

“The whole thing was very overwhelming. You’re suddenly mega f–king famous within a few months. I just couldn’t get out of functioning at this insanity level. Where you’re like, Whoa, hold on, don’t operate the vehicle.”

Now, things are better. Iggy just dropped her second album, “In my Defense,” and she has moved from LA to Atlanta to live with her boyfriend, rapper Playboi Carti. Oh, and she still doesn’t f- with Twitter.
