Fans Slam Kim Kardashian For Letting Daughter Play With A Snake

Fans are calling Kim Kardashian an irresponsible mother after the star posted a video of daughter Chicago West playing with a snake. Kardashian shared a video calling her 1-year-old daughter “brave” for handling an adult albino corn snake.

“My brave girl Chicago,” Kim, 38, wrote in the caption along with a snake emoji.

While the star’s friends praised her daughter’s bravery, some angry fans slammed Kim for allegedly putting her mini-me in danger!

“You don’t play with animals like that. Especially snakes who can easily lash out when provoked. I find it irresponsible of parents letting their young children hold animals like that and they have no idea what they are doing. Poor snake. Have a bit more respect,” commented a fan on Kim’s Instagram post.

“This makes me feel sick,” wrote another.

“I will [n]ever let my kid play with a snake,” commented a third.

Some fans also showed concern for the animal, with one user writing: “Poor snake. Stop treating animals like toys! There’s plenty of other things to keep your kids occupied.”

Grant Kemmerer of Wild World of Animals told Page Six wasn’t a “wise” decision — despite the animal’s usually “easygoing demeanor.”

“In light of that, I don’t think it’s particularly wise to completely hand off to a child that age,” Kemmerer said. “A child at this age doesn’t necessarily understand the fine dexterity needed to handle a delicate animal, and you can see the child is grasping the snake’s neck/body which can make the snake uncomfortable and there’s a chance the snake could be defensive.”

“I’m sure the handler feels confident with the demeanor of his/her animal,” he added of the handler who was with Chicago and the snake, “but as a general rule I would never hand an exotic animal to a child that age, too much could go wrong.”

We have to admit the video did make us uncomfortable. But we’re also afraid of snakes. So there’s that.
