Jill Scott Warns Women Against The #CucumberChallenge Despite Her Viral Microphone Moment

Jill Scott is the latest celeb to share her two cents about the #CucumberChallenge.

On Saturday the singer hopped on Instagram to warn ladies about participating in the social media trend because it “will make things more challenging for you.”

And Scott would know.

If you recall she went viral for simulating oral sex on a microphone at one of her concerts. In an effort to not seem like the pot calling out the kettle she admits she is the last one to talk and hopes women will learn from her mistake.

“Since the video, that I did not want to come out, or didn’t even know existed came out … it’s made things more challenging for me” she says. “This is your auntie. I’m tryna tell you, erase it, don’t do it.”

She also said what she was doing was part of a stage performance not just for public consumption.

ICYMI the #CucumberChallenge is basically millennials taking to social media to show off their oral sex skills by simulating the act on a cucumber.

Scott isn’t the first celeb to speak out against it.

Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter, called it “degrading,” after her on-again off again boyfriend YFN Lucci hosted a party with women in attendance engaged in the challenge.

Her mother Toya Wright also shamed girls for participating telling ladies “You have to do better, this type of behavior is not tasteful at all.”

Meanwhile folks like Amber Rose and 50 Cent think it’s all harmless fun.

Fiddie responded to Scott in her comment section asking her to leave it alone.

Rose on the other hand asked women not to shame other girls who participate in the challenge just because they don’t have those skills.

“I feel like a lot of girls are being very insecure because they watched the video and they’re like, ‘Oh b*tch, I can’t do that,’ Rose said in a video shared on Twitter.

“But the thing that we have to remember is that if your man is going and cheating on you or just being disrespectful, you got to understand baby girl that don’t got sh*t to do with you.”

What are your thoughts? Do you agree with Jill or Amber “slutwalk” Rose?
