Fans are still in disbelief after FOX’s sudden cancelation of Empire and it’s sister show Star. The news comes just a few weeks after Empire was renewed for Season 6. While the network blames low ratings, many fans believe it may also be due to Jussie Smollett’s drama.

If it is true that the tv show Empire has been cancelled, I feel so sorry for the cast and crew who are now out of work because of what that idiot Jussie Smollett did!! Fox Network should do what @ABCNetwork did with "Roseanne" and have Empire go on without him!!!

The show got axed just a few weeks after cast mates were reportedly rallying together to bring back Jussie. Well despite the controversy, his cast mate says Empire will be good regardless.
We got a chance to chat with Serayah while on set of her latest music video, “Love It” where we asked about changes Jussie’s departure would bring.
“I think it will definitely change the dynamic of the show, why wouldn’t it,” the songstress told us. “He had a very prominent role in the show.”
Seyarah continues,
“Like Empire does, I feel like theres still going to be moving storylines. Theres going to be great characters. I really don’t think we really failed on characters. I feel like all the characters bring something great to the show and I think that’s what they’ll come up with for next season.”
As for Season 6, Jussie’s character is still up in the air but you can expect still expect a huge Lyon send off.
“We are turning the final season into a large TV event — we are trying to go out guns a-blazing,” said FOX Entertainment head Charles Collier. “You allow fans to lean in and have the ending they deserve.”
Collier continues, “There’s an option to have Jussie in the series but we have no plans for that,” he said.
Empire’s last season will be moved to Tuesdays at 9 p.m. and will have 20 episodes.
