The marathon continues with Nipsey Hussle in his last music video titled, “Higher”.
The project was shot just days before the LA rapper was gunned down in front of his clothing store, The Marathon, on March 31st. Directed by Eif Rivera, the video was also filmed in Inglewood, CA, near Nip’s old neighborhood, and is an ever present reminder of just how integral he was to his community.
DJ Khaled debuted the video in a series on post on his IG page calling it a gift from his brother Nipsey. He also shared a letter about his experience working with Hussle.
Nipsey longtime love, Lauren London, also shared a special IG tribute from the video, highlighting his lyrics, “Los Angeles Love kinda like Hussle and Boog.”
