Lil Yachty is now our new favorite City Girl.
In a new interview, Yachty, 21, revealed that he actually had a hand in writing City Girls’ hit song “Act Up.” If you’re a super fan you saw his name in the included on the song’s writing credits. Now he’s explaining why.
“When it came out, people was so shocked and they didn’t believe it,” the young rapper told Kerwin Frost in a YouTube interview. “I wrote the whole song, except for [Jatavia Shakara Johnson, 26] J.T.’s last verse. But everything that everyone is singing, I wrote the whole thing.”
“I just thought like them, you know I know them personally and I know what women like to hear, he added. “I was literally sitting there and I was like ‘yo, what’s just some raunchy sh*t?’ I just started saying it then I went in the booth… and started saying all that crazy sh*t. I came out and said ‘watch, this is about to blow up.’”
And he was right. The song is currently blowing up the charts and Yachty is now trending on Twitter. Folks started acting all the way up once word dropped and the reactions are priceless.

As you know Yachty and the City Girls are both managed by Quality Control. There were rumors that he was also dating J.T. who is currently in jail for credit card fraud.
In the meantime Yung Miami is holding it down until her release in 2020 promoting their album Girl Code and touring.
