Taraji P. Henson isn’t stressing over “Empire” co-star Jussie Smollett’s legal woes.
The actress opened up to us during the sit-down for her new film The Best Of Enemies about how she’s coping in the wake of her co-star’s high-profile legal scandal.
“Gotta stay strong you know, that’s all you can do,” she said.
Taraji and the cast of the Fox hit have finished taping season five without Smollett who was indicted on 16 felony counts for allegedly staging his own his own hate crime. Smollett, who pleaded not guilty to all charges last week, has maintained his innocence.
His character on the show, however, has been removed from the final two episodes of season 5 to “avoid further disruption on set,” the Fox show’s executive producers previously said in a statement.
In the meantime Henson’s keeping busy playing feisty civil rights activist Ann Atwater opposite Sam Rockwell in her new flick.
