In celebration of the 50th NAACP Image Awards stars hit the carpet ready to stunt and slay — unfortunately, a few of them missed the mark. Let’s take a look at those who were hot and those who left us bothered.
Subtle yet stunning, we loved Logan Browning’s Michael Kors look. Marsai Martin was also a fave in a show stopping Georges Hobeika. Letitia Wright nailed it in her Georges Chakra gown and Yara Shahidi slayed the carpet by bringing the fun and futuristic vibes in Balmain. Plus, Thandie Newton gave ruffle and volume realness in this red Valentino dress.
But for every dress we loved, there were a few that just missed the mark for us.
Unfortunately, Tracee Ellis Ross made that list. It’s rare when we don’t love her look, but this Marc Jacob just wasn’t it. Yvonne Orji’s Georges Chakra dress also left usa bit underwhelemed and Lupita Nyong’o’s antebellum inspired Giambattista Valli gown was a no go.
