D.L. Hughley has some very special guests in mind for his new late-night show. Hughley told HipHollywood the show will be a mix of hot topics and sit-down interviews but if he had to choose someone to be his very first guest it would have to be Terry Crews.

If you recall two weeks ago the two exchanged words on Twitter over comments Hughley made about Crew’s #MeToo experience and subsequent lawsuit against film executive Adam Venit.

In an interview with VladTV Hughley questioned how Crews could let another man violate him and not stand-up for himself.

“I think it’s hard for me to think that a dude with all those muscles can’t tell an agent to not touch his ass … I don’t understand it,” Hughley said. “I think that now everybody’s so into this notion that everybody’s like, ‘It happened to me, too.’ Aye motherf*cka, God gave you muscles so you can say, ‘No,’ and mean it.”

Crew obviously took offense to the comment and responded on Twitter first thanking Black women for their unwavering support and clarifying that he did in fact defend himself.

Hughley said during TV One’s TCA that his comments were taken out of context and he hopes a sit-down will help them both hash it out.

“When you’re speaking through an apparatus like Twitter there tends to be a lot of noise,” explained Hughley.  “Ultimately we are two men who have a different perspective on things. It will be interesting for me to hear what he has to say and I’d like to add something to the conversation too.”

The comedian’s new show will launch in March on TV One. Among his other guest hopefuls are 21 Savage, Kanye West and fellow comedian Mo’Nique.
