This could be the beginning of the end for R. Kelly…

R. KELLY DROPPED!

Finally, Sony has heard your cries! Following the shocking “Surviving R. Kelly” docu-series on Lifetime several women’s group called for those complicit in Kelly’s misdeeds to severe ties with him immediately — namely his record label. And now, after #MuteRKelly, several protests outside of their offices and mounting allegations against the Pied Piper, Sony has finally said see ya later to the R&B Singer. R. has been with Sony since the beginning of his career and in 2012 signed under their subsidiary RCA Records. Now, the two will be effectively strangers. But, although their working relationship has dissolved, Sony will still be making money of their decades of music Kells recorded over his sordid career.

KELLS FORMER MANAGER ARRESTED!

And speaking of holding those complicit responsible … R. Kelly’s former manager has surrender on an arrest warrant for terroristic threats against the family of one of the singer’s alleged victims. According to TMZ, James Mason surrendered to authorities on Friday morning after the Henry County Sheriff’s Dept. issued an arrest warrant last August for felony terroristic threats and acts. In May 2018, Mason allegedly told Joycelyn Savage’s father, “I’m gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I’m gonna get you, I’m going to f***ing kill you.” Joycelyn still leaves with Kelly and, although her family believes she has been brainwashed, the young woman says she is not being held against her will. Mason was released on $10,000 bond.

COULD KELLY BE HEADED TO JAIL, TOO?

The most pressing question now is, will Kelly ever serve time for his allegedly criminal behavior. In the Surviving doc, the alleged victims accuse R. of sexual, mental and physical abuse. Unfortunately, it will be very difficult to prove those allegations to be true. While some of the women claimed to be held against their will, others simply walked out of the front door when they were fed up. Those who claim physical abuse will have to face a harsh cross-examination on the stand (if it goes that far) and undoubtedly will feel re-victimized. Furthermore, none of the women in the house (who didn’t take settlements) had sex with Kelly while underage — Illinois’ age of consent is 17-years-old. At this point, it looks like the only way to nail the singer may be through the new victims coming forward. Story developing…
