Yep you read that right. Nick Cannon is adding another show to his growing roster. In between hosting the The Masked Singer and MTV’s Wild n’ Out, Cannon is stepping in as temporary host for the The Wendy Williams Show. Cannon will fill Williams spot while she recovers from a fractured shoulder, according to a post shared on the TV show’s official Instagram account.
“Friend to the show and host of Fox’s The Masked Singer and MTV’s Wild n’ Out, @nickcannon will be guest hosting The Wendy Williams Show on Monday, February 4th, Tuesday, February 5th & Wednesday, February 6th,” read the post. “The new hour long episodes will include Wendy’s staple Hot Topics segment, ‘Ask Wendy,’ celebrity interviews and more!”
The news comes less than two weeks after Williams posted on her official Twitter account an update on her fractured shoulder. According to the post dated Jan. 18, the New Jersey TV personality has experienced complications, tied into her Graves’ disease, which is an autoimmune condition that affects the thyroid.
“Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being. Wendy thanks everyone in advance for their well-wishes and for respecting her and The Hunter Family’s privacy during this time,” the statement concluded.
Because of her lengthy absence, fans have begun to question whether Williams is really treating her shoulder, especially given reports that she & her husband Kevin Hunter are splitting over his alleged mistress’ alleged pregnancy.
We guess time will tell.
