Black Folks Came Thru Drippin’ At The Critics’ Choice Awards!

Our people came to the Critics’ Choice Awards stuntin’, shining and winning on Sunday night. We just make it look so easy!

The 24th annual gala was hosted by Taye Diggs and honored achievements in both television and film. But, it also gave us a chance to show off our finest fits in true suited and booted fashion! Just take a look below…

After the red carpet, the flyness continued as some of our faves hit the stage to receive awards. Golden Globe winners Mahershala Ali (“Green Book”) and Regina King (“If Beale Street Could Talk”) both won in their respective “supporting” categories, Barry Jenkins nabbed the Best Adapted Screenplay award for “If Beale Street Could Talk, and Thandie Newton won for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for “Westworld”. Oh, and the “Black Panther” party just keeps on going as the film won three awards (Best Visual Effects, Best Production Design and Best Costume Design) at Sunday night’s award show.

The Critics Choice Awards is known for being the best predictor of the Academy Awards, so these names may very well walk across that Oscars stage in just a few short weeks.
