Travis Scott Signs On To Join Maroon 5 For Super Bowl Halftime Show … Smart Move?

Well, this was unexpected. Looks like Travis Scott will be going sickomode at the Super Bowl — and not everyone is happy about it…

For months, there was speculation that SB 53’s halftime show would be dry boots. No shade to Maroon 5, but with the big show happening in Atlanta, and no Black artist from the city even asked to perform, folks were giving it a big yawn and an even bigger side-eye. On top of the fact that many are still boycotting the NFL and standing with Kaep. Everyone seemed to be cool on da ‘Bowl.

But, lo and behold, Scott is here to save the Super Bowl — or sell his soul — depends on how you look at it. When fellow rapper Meek Mill found out about Travis taking his talents to SB, he seemed to side with the latter.

And he wasn’t the only one…

But, now that the “Astroworld” rapper has kicked the door down, it looks like other Black artist think it’s safe to walk through with him. According to TMZ, both Cardi B (who was an early contender to join Maroon 5) and Atlanta icon, Big Boi, are possibly in talks with Maroon 5 to join the show as well.

What are you thoughts? Should more artist of color stand with Kaep or cap for the Super Bowl?
