No Offensive Jokes Here … Keeping It PC And Proper At The 2018 SAG Awards Nominations!

Gone are the days where jokes are just jokes…

On the heels of Kevin Hart’s Oscars debacle, it will be interesting to see how other awards shows handle sensitive subjects, controversial topics, and the such. Suffice it to say, most folks will adhere to the zero tolerance policy (if that’s even possible). And as the SAG Awards nominations were being announced today we wondered if they, too, would follow suit.

Orange Is The New Black actress Laverne Cox, alongside Crazy Rich Asians breakout star Awkwafina, revealed the nominees Wednesday morning and simultaneously cemented themselves as a funny duo worth watching. As of right now, the two don’t have any projects in the works together. However, they will hit the stage again during the SAG Awards on January 27th, and we’re sure they’ll be a hit.

But, is there any anxiety on their part? We asked that very question when we chatted with Cox and Awk to see if they were worried about possibly offending viewers with well-intentioned jokes. Let’s just say ‘Fina was a bit more confident than Cox.

The 25th annual SAG Awards air live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, January 27th. Here’s who we’re rooting for!
