Finally! We get to see Kenya Moore’s baby girl’s face — and it was worth the wait.
Moore and husband, Marc Daly, welcomed baby Brooklyn Doris on November 4th. And now, just about a month later, the world gets to see her beautiful face — a face that apparently is quite versatile. “She’s so perfect in so many ways,” Moore shared with People, adding that, “Brooklyn makes 101 faces.”
During her Real Housewives of Atlanta days, Kenya was very vocal about wanting to be a wife and mother, and now that is her reality. “I finally have everything I’ve dreamed of,” she gushes to People.
But, the journey was not without its trials. After jumping the broom in 2017, Kenya and Marc decided they wanted to start their family immediately. However, they soon learned that their journey would need to include in vitro fertilization. Thankfully it worked, and Moore announced her pregnancy during the season 10 RHOA reunion.
Revealing that the pregnancy had “so many scares along the way,” Kenya shared that early on physicians were concerned she was having an ectopic tubal pregnancy and would need to be terminated. After making it over that hurdle, Moore found out in late October that she tested positive for preeclampsia — a serious condition that can even have fatal complications. That diagnosis sent Kenya to the hospital to deliver her baby girl 6 weeks early.
“They couldn’t get the baby out,” she says. “There were all these complications and they knew if they cut into a fibroid, I could potentially bleed out and die. So they ended up cutting me vertically too, to just get the baby out and make sure I survived the surgery. They were so scared they were going to lose me.”
And although it was scary, Moore says it was all worth it!
“We’re so in love,” Moore gushes. “Everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. But she’s such a tough baby; so determined. And every step of the way, she kept surviving and getting stronger. She’s my miracle baby. There’s no other way to describe it, she’s my miracle baby.”
