HipHollywood is currently on the scene at Thousand Oaks Teen Center and can report that Alaina Housley’s family is there and has, unfortunately, identified her body.

Statement from Adam Housley and Tamera Mowry-Housley:

Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks. Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.

Tamera Mowry and husband, Adam Housley, are on a frantic search for their niece, Alaina Housley, following the Thousand Oaks mass shooting.

In the wee hours of Thursday morning, news broke of the shooting that occurred at Borderline Bar & Grill in the city about 40 miles west of Los Angeles. 28-year-old Ian David Long, who had served in the Marine Corps., walked into the bar on their “college country music night” and opened fired. The crowd was filled with young people — including Pepperdine students — one of which was Alaina. In total 12 people were killed and many more injured, Long was taken out by authorities. As of right now, Alaina is missing.

The 18-year-old co-ed’s roommate, Ashley, took to Twitter for help.

Soon after Tamera reached out searching for answers.

Adam has asked his followers to “Please pray if you believe….pray.” — but, he’s also been on the ground, actively trying to locate his niece. This is according to Los Angeles Times reporter Andrea Castillo who shared on Twitter that Housley visited the Los Robles Regional Medical Center looking for Alaina.

The daughter of Adam’s brother Arik, Alaina is an 18-year-old freshman at Pepperdine University who loves to sing and even did so with her Aunt Tamera.

She also enjoys loving on her cousins, Tamera and Adam’s kids, Aden and Ariah.

Unfortunately, for the family, it’s a waiting game. It could still be several more hours before the family is updated about those who are in the hospital and those who may not have made it. Adam says he his keeping his faith…

But, with Alaina’s Apple Watch placing her location at the bar, he also fears what could be the outcome. “My gut is saying she’s inside the bar, dead,” Housley told the LA Times. “I’m hoping I’m wrong.”

Tamera’s twin sister, Tia Mowry, has also taken to social media to show her support.
