Celeb Halloween Costumes — Who Nailed It And Who Failed It!

Does anyone wait for October 31st anymore?

Celebs celebrated Halloween this past weekend, getting all dressed up and partying the night away at various shindigs and gatherings. And per the usual, many of them went over-the-top with their costumes and created custom looks that were practically exact replicas of the characters and people they were imitating. But of course, not everyone nailed it — some folks completely failed it! And we’re here to give you the good, bad and gruesome in a hot or bothered Halloween edition.

No. Doubt. @gwenstefani

Gabrielle Union as Gwen Stefani was an absolute win. And look Megyn Kelly, she did it without doing “whiteface” (whatever that is…).

Now this is how you do Halloween — Black Panther style! Looks like the Black-ish cast is heading to Wakanda this year as Junior gives his best Killmonger look and Rainbow nails Nakia!

Ray J and Princess Love’s daughter Melody won Halloween with this cute little Incredibles costume. Babies do it better!

Stawwppppp!!! Rita Ora as Post Malone is spot on.

Ok! Couples costumes in full effect! Ty Dolla $ign and his boo, Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui, nailed it as The Joker and Harley Quinn.

Look, we’ve said it once and we’ll say it again. Da babies do it better!! LeBron and Savannah James’ baby girl Zhuri Nova is the Cher Horowitz we all deserve. Big Mood!

Okkkkk Nas! Giving us MJ steez in this Halloween season.

Wiz Khalifa didn’t just give y’all Ninja Turtle realness, he came with his own faux-pizza to complete the look. That’s commitment.

Teyana Taylor plays NO games! She slayed this Kitana (Mortal Kombat) look. It doesn’t hurt that her body is near perfection, too. Just [email protected]!

Disclaimer: No one really “failed” this Halloween, but these are the looks that could have used some improvements…

EJ Johnson and his girl Dorothy Wang look cute. Actually, they both kinda nailed it with their Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat looks (Chun li vs. Kitana). But with the way Teyana Taylor just delivered her version of Kitana, we had to give EJ 2nd place. No love lost though!

Alexandra Shipp as Lydia from “Beetlejuice” is pretty spot on! But, if we’re being super critical, the hair needs a bit of work. Lydia’s tresses were more punk rock, spiky straight and less Shirley Temple curls. You almost had it, sis.

A firefighter costume is pretty safe and boring for Halloween. But, if you’re Tyson Beckford as a fireman you HAVE to do it with your shirt off. It’s only right.

Taraji P. Henson was going for a 70s look. However, she looks like it’s a regular, schmegular day. Cute, but regular.

Y’all. Pepa should have just gone as Pepa. What in the Egyptian Goddess / Poison Ivy hybrid is this?!
