Lil Wayne’s “The Carter V” Is Finally Here — Who’s Featured And Who Isn’t?!

It’s finally here. After years — 6 to be exact — of delays, Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter has given us his oft-delayed album, The Carter V.

As Lil Wayne promised earlier this week, 9/27, his birthday, would be D-day (the “D” is for Dwayne). And he didn’t disappoint.

At times it seemed like this day would never come, especially when Wayne’s legal battle with Birdman and Cash Money raged on for years. But, with that issue finally settled, Weeyz F. Baby was able to give his fans the album they’ve been waiting for … now the question remains, ‘was it worth the wait’.

We’ll let you decide that, (click HERE to stream it), but we will give you the tea on the features that made the cut and those who got cut out completely.

First up, here’s the full tracklist…

I Love You Dwayne
Don’t Cry ft. XXXTentacion
Let It Fly ft. Travis Scott
Can’t Be Broken
Dark Side of The Moon ft. Nicki Minaj
Mona Lisa ft. Kendrick Lamar
What About Me ft. Sosamann
Open Letter
Famous ft. Reginae Carter
Dope Niggaz ft. Snoop Dogg
Took His Time
Open Safe
Start This Shit Off Right ft. Ashanti & Mack Maine
Dope New Gospel ft. Nivea
Perfect Strangers
Used 2
Let It All Work Out

The surprises? Definitely the late rapper XXXTentacion, who’s feature on “Don’t Cry” is a stand out. Wayne also enlists his daughter Reginae, and baby’s mother, Nivea, for features. We were also a bit surprised to hear Ashanti hitting high notes on a hook … we see you, sis!

The shockers? Where is Drake?!?! The Young Money rapper is noticeably absent from “The Carter V”, but as of right now, we’re not quite sure why (especially since Nicki made the cut). Also, it was widely reported that Post Malone was a last minute feature being added to the album, but alas, it looks like he didn’t make the cut either. Anyone else you were hoping to hear?

Either way, Congrats to Weezy for finally dropping The Carter V — this is an epic moment!
