Janet Jackson hasn’t dropped a video since about 2016 during her “Unbreakable” promo. And although fans waited with baited breath for a visual from the legend — was this one worth the wait?
JJ and Daddy Yankee have teamed up to bring the masses “Made For Now”, an upbeat ditty showcasing Janet’s trademark whisper soft voice and Yankee’s litty-ness; it’s a match-made in cross-over heaven.
The video to the song just dropped and it’s a global celebration with a lot of gyration. The dance party, directed by the Dave Meyers took place on the streets of Brooklyn, but gives you a worldly feel due to the dancers that hailed from Ghana, Nigeria, Grenada, Trinidad and the U.S.
Aside from the infectious dancing, Janet’s wardrobe was a delight to the eye, as well! Janet’s fits were vibrant, colorful, exciting and globally-influenced — perfect for the joyous song.
But the question remains: Is “Made For Now” the Ms. Jackson moment you’ve been waiting for?
