Tom Cruise may have just turned 56, but he’s showing no signs of slowing down.
In the latest installment of his Mission Impossible franchise, Mission Impossible: Fallout, Cruise is doing one death defying stunt after another, but told us during the film’s world premiere in Paris that this time he may have bit off more than he can chew.
” I didn’t seem like it was going to be as challenging as it was,” he said. “Then I break my ankle jumping on just running across two buildings. Everything that I’ve done I thought how can I break my ankle.”
But instead of letting the accident derail plans for him to perform all his own stunts, Cruise kept at it — continuing to work with an injured ankle, only stopping to go to physical therapy.
“That’s in my nature, never stop, I will never stop,” he said with a huge smile.
And he has no plans of stopping the franchise anytime soon either. When asked if MI7 would conclude the series (since 7 is the number of completion) he said … think again.
“I thought fifty was [the number of completion],” he said jokingly. “MI50 we are just going to keep going.”
Mission Impossible: Fallout also starring Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Henry Cavill, Rebecca Ferguson and Angela Bassett is in theaters July 27.
