If there’s one person who can spill the tea on if Kenya Moore is in or out for season 11 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta … it’s Cynthia Bailey. Or so we thought.
HipHollywood caught up with Moore’s bestie to get the 4-11 on all the back and forth regarding her return to RHOA and even she was unsure. “We just started filming a couple weeks ago … so we’ll see,” she said with a shoulder shrug while attending the 15th Annual McDonald’s 365Black Awards.
She did tell us Moore is in good spirits and can’t wait to be a new mommy. “She’s good, she’s happy, she’s married and she is pregnant,” she said with an emphasis on pregnant. “And I can’t wait to be an Aunty.”
According to numerous reports including one from B.Scott.com, Moore is still being punished for not letting producers know about her wedding to husband Marc Daly last summer and is being offered less money to participate this time around.
Per the site:
“Bravo execs are demanding Kenya film her pregnancy journey with her husband and stay on a full ‘housewife’ filming schedule, but punish her by cutting her salary 90% and paying her as a ‘friend’. We’re told her husband has agreed to film this season only to support Kenya but they won’t give her a fair contract. All this because they want to publicly humiliate Kenya for not getting married on TV and her husband for not filming the entire season.”
A source close to Kenya also told the site that she’s in talks with 3 networks to do a spin-off now if Bravo refuses to pay her what she deserves.
Bailey did confirm that model and new mom Eva Marcille will be returning, but wasn’t sure how she will mesh with the ladies. “She wasn’t really as involved last season, so this season will be her opportunity to see how she connects with everyone,” she explained.
Bailey does however think Phaedra Parks, who was booted after season 9 because of those “Lesbiangate” rumors she concocted, is great for the show, and wouldn’t mind her return.
“I think Phaedra is great, I’m all for what’s good for the show,” she said.
Season 11 of RHOA is slated for a return in November. So far (per the ladies social media pages) Cynthia, Nene Leakes, Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams and Marlo Hampton have been filming and seem to be getting along great.
We’re told a big part of Leakes’ storyline will focus on her husband’s cancer diagnosis and treatment. Both Cynthia and Porsha have new men in their lives, and Burruss will be juggling multiple business ventures per usual.
