Lil Rel Howery is happy Tracey Morgan apologized to Tiffany Haddish … but he’s still a little salty.
HipHollywood caught up with Howery at the MTV Movie and TV Awards to discuss why he took up for Haddish after Morgan refused to talk about her during an interview with Vulture and he had this to say.
“I think he meant it,” he laughed when we asked if he thought Morgan meant to shade Haddish. “But at the sam time I’m happy I said something because if I didn’t he wouldn’t have looked at himself. I think he had to re-watch the interview and that go oh my bad.”
If you missed it Morgan sat down with Vulture about his new show The Last OG and other projects and when asked about watching Haddish blow up, he went off.
“We’re not going to go there, because Tiffany is not the only one, this is not her show, it’s Tracey Morgan’s , this is the The Last Og. If you are going to ask that about Tiffany, ask that about Cedric and craft services, everyone that comes to work everyday on that show ” he gripped.
Howery took to Twitter after the interview went viral slamming Morgan. “This is one hating ass dude right here, that show wouldn’t be nothing if Tiffany Haddish wasn’t on it … Don’t bite the hand that keeps you relevant,” he wrote.
Haddish didn’t speak out about Morgan’s harsh remarks, but Howery is happy he did.
“I’m glad I did that because sometimes people need to see like bruh that wasn’t cool,” he said. “Sometimes people don’t say anything, that’s the problem we just let people do what ever they want.”
Howery who has been friends with Haddish for over ten years, is gearing up for a great year himself with his new Fox show Rel coming this fall and movie Uncle Drew hitting theaters this July.
