Donald Glover hosted Saturday Night Live; Childish Gambino performed and dropped a new video that caused a frenzy. And you missed both because you were too busy being turnt over the weekend. No worries, we got you.

When it was announced that DG would be hosting SNL we knew it was gonna be good, but not THIS good! The multi-hyphenate artist took to the stage and delivered a pretty funny monologue that lead into some hilarious skits — one being “A Quiet Place” parody called “A Kanye Place” and the other a Migos-esque rap trio called Friendos who all do group therapy together

Following the skits Childish Gambino (Glover’s performing pseudonym) hit the stage and debuted two new songs, but not before dropping the “This Is America” video that had everyone buzzing.

“This Is America”

There’s a lot to unpack here. From the extreme care the guns received to the lack of care the dead bodies garnered; the dancing that serves as a distraction juxtaposed against the riots and violence in the background; and even the white horse riding through the background that could be seen as an omen for death, it’s a video you have to watch several times in order to see everything. Oh, and did you catch that SZA cameo at the end? Click play a fe3w mor4e times and tell us your thoughts.
