No matter how hard the nation lobbies for former First Lady Michelle Obama to run for the Oval, it just ain’t happening.

During a discussion at the 39th annual Simmons Leadership Conference in Boston on Thursday, Obama’s hopeful run for presidency came up and unfortunately, former FLOTUS quickly shut down chatter of her running this nation.

“The reason why I don’t want to run for president — and I can’t speak for Oprah — but my sense is that, first of all, you have to want the job,” she said. “And you just can’t say, ‘Well you’re a woman, run.'”

Barack Obama’s wifey continued, “We just can’t find the women we like and ask them to do it, because there are millions of women who are inclined and do have the passion for politics.”

She then stated emphatically, “I’ve never had the passion for politics. I just happened to be married to somebody who has the passion for politics, and he drug me kicking and screaming into this arena.”

Michelle is nothing short of amazing, in fact, in our eyes, she will always and forever be our First Lady. But according to the beauty, running the country is more than just being able to speak … which she is quite the pro at.

“Just because I gave a good speech, I’m smart and intelligent doesn’t mean I should be the next president,” Obama, who gave a powerful speech at the Democratic National Convention. said. “That’s not how we should pick the president. That’s been our problem. We’re very shortsighted about how we think about selecting the commander-in-chief.”

Whelp, there you have it, Michelle Obama will not be running for president. Sorry, folks.
