See, this is why folks are considered innocent until proven guilty!
Although many in the court of public opinion condemned Russell Simmons after several women accused the music mogul of sexual assault and even rape, it seems as though his name may be in the process of being cleared — at least in the case of Jennifer Jarosik.
As you may remember, Jarosik accused Simmons of sexual assault and sued him for $5 million. Undeterred, Russell filed a response stating Jennifer had sent him sexy texts and nudie pics after the alleged assault. He also suggested Jen was just out for a money grab.
Well, Simmons scored a win on Wednesday when the suit was dismissed with prejudice — meaning, she can’t ever refile. This is usually the case when a settlement has been reached.
Now, if Uncle Rush can just get the $10 million rape lawsuit from “Jane Doe” dismissed he could probably restore his reputation.
