HipHollywood once again got an exclusive invite inside Alfre Woodard’s Oscars Sistahs’ Soiree and, as always, the night was nothing short of Black girl magic.
Woodard, who has long been a voting member of the Academy, gathered current and previous Oscar nominees for an intimate evening of sisterhood. This year, the host and Hollywood leading lady also honored the cast of Girls Trip and Oscar nominees, Octavia Spencer (The Shape of Water) and Mary J. Blige (Mudbound).
The 9th Annual event, held at the Beverly Wilshire hotel, was sponsored by Morgan Stanley, and was attended by the who’s who of Hollywood Black actresses, including Nia Long, Loretta Devine, Danai Gurira, Aisha Tyler, Janelle Monae and more.
HipHollywood will be covering all things Oscars, so make sure to check back in for more of your favorite movie stars.
