Jada Pinkett-Smith couldn’t be happier hubby Will Smith is finally making good use of his Instagram account.
According to the Girls Trip actress, the social media platform gives Smith an opportunity to be his true self and do what he does best – make people laugh. “People wonder what he’s like at home, I go there you go,” she confessed. “That’s what we’ve been dealing with, that’s what I’ve been dealing with for 23 years.”
Whether he’s trekking along with his family on a Christmas-themed sleigh ride or remaking his son Jaden Smith’s “Icon” music video, the former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star’s videos each garner millions of views. But, according to Jada, it’s not just his funny antics that have made him a social media sensation.
“I call him a sacred clown,” said Pinkett-Smith while attending Alfre Woodard’s Oscars Sistah’s Soiree. “He has a way to make people laugh, but also open people up to make them think, as well. I think it’s a beautiful thing.”
The veteran actor first started posting back in December of 2017, during the press run for the Netflix movie Bright, and has since amassed some 11 million followers.
The fete is pretty astonishing considering that those with a following in the multi-millions on the social media platform are usually female recording artists (Selena Gomez, Beyonce) or reality stars (all of the Kardashian / Jenners).
“I’m happy for him, and he’s having so much and that brings me joy.”
