Is Usher already opening up the love line for a rebound chick?
On the heels of separating from his wife of two years, word on the street is that the newly single singer is already putting fillers out. Of the few names being thrown out are Tessa Thompson and Amara La Negra.
According to Page Six, the r&b crooner has had his eyes on Thompson since before announcing his split from Grace Miguel.
Per the gossip column, following the LA premiere of Black Panther in January, the singer was all over Thompson.
Per an insider, after snapping a few photos with Janelle Monae and the Annihilation star, Usher and Tessa “had flirty body language . . . then he seemed to be following [Thompson] around like a lost puppy.”
The source also claimed that when she “walked away, he followed like a puppy looking for more attention.” The insider also added that while at the Hollywood Roosevelt soiree, they were “attached at the hip.”
In the off chance, however, that Tessa is not down for the rebound, Usher might have luck with Love & Hip Hop Miami’s, Amara LaNegra. Apparently, the singer has also been lusting after the reality star for some time.
Following the confirmation of the singer and his now estranged wife’s breakup, gossip started that the 39-year-old and La Negra were hot for each other. According to Media Take Out, the pair met when Usher was in LA for his appearance on The Real and have been close since.
Photos also recently emerged of the two in the father of two’s white car.
Amara, however, is seemingly calling BS on the gossip. On Thursday morning she tweeted: “People come up With just any story… smh. Who comes up with this shhh.”
Usher’s quick move towards other women comes as a shock considering he just announced his separation.
A statement release by the couple read: “After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple.” They added, “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”
As for why the pair called it quits remains unknown.
