Eddie Murphy is on the move, folks. It’s been confirmed that the comedian will join the cast of Twins sequel, Triplets.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, the star of the original 1988 classic, spilled the tea this week during a panel discussion at South by Southwest. “Funny thing that happens in the mixing of the sperm.” Arnold teased, also confirming that original costar, Danny DeVito, will reprise his role.
This is not the first time there’s been chatter about Murphy teaming up with writers and producers for the sequel.
Back in 2015, Murphy said about the project: “A couple of years ago I met with Arnold and Danny and some writer. We had a meeting but I didn’t hear anything. I tell you – I’m not doing anything unless the script’s incredible.”
He added, “If Triplets comes together and it’s hysterically funny, I’ll do it. Same with Beverly Hills Cop 4 — the last couple of scripts weren’t quite there.”
It’s going to be a big year for Murphy. He is not only said to be currently working on Beverly Hills Cops 4, but we’d be remised to not say that rumors of a possible Coming to America sequel are still hot.
