Idris Elba is officially off the market. Sorry, folks.
Over the weekend, Elba proposed to his girlfriend, Sabrina Dhowre, at the Rio Cinema in London just before the screening of his new film, Yardie.
Dressed in a black jacket and grey pants, the British actor got down on one knee in front of the entire audience and popped the big question. It’s unclear what he said, but Dhowre, who was clearly shocked and blown away by the special moment, said “yes.”
“Baby! I can’t tell you enough how happy you make me and how lucky I feel to have found a love like this, you make my heart feel so full,” Sabrina wrote on Instagram early Monday morning. “I love you. Forever will always feel to short. #imsuchacheeseball@idriselba.”
Elba and his 29-year-old boo thang met during the making of his 2017 film, The Mountain Between Us. This will be the actor’s third marriage, and you know what they say, third times the charm.
But while the lovebirds may be on cloud nine over their upcoming nuptials, the rest of the world is bitter as hell. Although the actor has had many public and serious romances, Idirs still deems to be one of the most sought out hotties in Hollywood; yes, everyone wants him.
Soooooo that might explain why following the engagement news, fans who dreamt of one day meeting the actor and falling in love, took to social media to air out their grievances.
