Out with the old, in with the new?
As we all know by now, Mo’Nique had been positioning herself to do a comedy special with Netflix but when they offered her only $500,000, in comparison to the millions other comedians were pulling in, she baulked at the offer and requested we all boycott. Well, we didn’t. And now Tiffany Haddish has announced she has a new deal with the streaming service.
Buuuut, don’t get your panties in a bunch Mo Mo fans. Tiff didn’t swoop in on ya girl’s deal, she is in a entirely different lane. Haddish is set to voice one of the main characters on the new animated series “Tuca and Bertie” … oh, and that’s not all. The “Girl’s Trip” breakout star will also receive executive producer credit.
“Tuca and Bertie”, which Netflix has already secured for 10-episodes, “is a comedy about the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building: Tuca, a cocky, care-free toucan, and Bertie, an anxious, daydreaming songbird,” as Variety explains.
Secure the bag, Tiffany, SECURE IT!!
