Kandi Burruss is sending Mo’Nique some love.
The female comedienne has been making headlines over the past several weeks for airing her grievances on social media following Netflix’s offensive offer for her comedy special.
Many critics have blasted the star for making an uproar considering how irrelevant she’s been in recent years, but there are several celebrities supporting Mo’Nique, including Burruss.
She added, “With all the drama that’s been coming at Monique lately I figured I’d send some positive vibes when I came across this pic with her, @leverticus, & @jingjingharris. It was all Luv when we took this pic about 13yrs ago. #TBT#ILoveUsForReal.”
Burruss included a snapshot from over a decade ago and yes, Mo appears to be happy and on cloud nine.
Sheryl Lee Ralph also stands behind the comedienne in this controversial time.
During the AAFCA Awards earlier this week, the actress suggested she “loves Mo’Nique” and that she “is going to make decisions that are good for Mo’Nique … I have no problem with her doing what she feels she needs to do.”
The comedienne recently took to Instagram to prove that she indeed, was offered 500k for a Netflix special. The 50-year-old posted an email from Netflix breaking down the proposed terms.
The terms included a “one hour special,” agreeing to “market/promote the special” AND … a “talent fee of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.)” Mo captioned the photo: “NETFLIX OFFER. @jawnmurray IS THIS A 3 MILLION DOLLAR OFFER.”
