Kendrick Lamar released the track list for Black Panther on Wednesday and the entire Internet lost it’s collective chill.
For starters, the soundtrack for the upcoming Marvel masterpiece was curated by Lamar, Dangeroo Kipawaa and Top Dawg Entertainment. So you already know it’s going to be lit.
The project includes 13 tracks and has features by Kendrick, SchoolBoy Q, Vince Staples and 2 Chainz. SZA’s track titled “All The Stars,” is the lead single for the film.
Needless to say, people are overly hype for the album and folks did not hesitate to share their excitement on Twitter.
Folks are also excited that Kendrick made the effort to feature South African artists; including Babes Wodumo, Sjava and Yugen Blakrok. There was, however, a mix-up apparently with the artists.
Saudi and Reason, two artists from South Africa are also on the album, but it turns out, the are rappers from America not SA.
The SA Reason tweeted: “I’m still not sure what hurts more. Telling you guys that I’m in fact not the “Reason” on the black panther album… or the fact that there’s another “Reason” out there on a project I SHOULD been on.”
