Stacey Dash is officially running for a congressional seat in Southern California. Yes, folks, this is true.
On Monday, the Clueless actress filed documents to run as a Republican in California’s 44th District, which is currently being held by Democrat, Nanette Barragán.
Dash has not officially released a statement, but the former Fox commentator did tease that she might be running for some big office.
Earlier this month she tweeted, “A number of people online and off have suggested I run for political office. I wanted to see what my online community thinks of this idea as I mull the possibilities. Thoughts?”
The actress has not only been one of the most hated political commentators ever, but has been accused of hating Black people. But for some reason, Dash thinks folks will rally behind her; otherwise, why the hell would she run?
After doing some serious digging, it’s pretty apparent that some of her strongest supporters are … wait, drum roll, please … WHITE MEN — which makes sense. These men, by the way, who have spoken publicly about backing Dash, also mentioned how hot she is. (Insert palm to face emoji)
But of course, there are the haters who are completely against Dash running, specifically, Black Twitter.
Many people are trying to figure out how Dash, who once claimed “BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards” shouldn’t exist, is going to get around working for Compton … which is part of California’s district.
But according to Stacey, back off because she lives in the 44th district.
