All-Star weekend was nothing short of entertaining. Folks from across the globe traveled to Los Angeles for one of the biggest events in the NBA and the weekend certainly did not disappoint.
In case you completely missed what went down during the star studded festivities, here are five favorite moments.
Fergie, Fergie, Fergie delivered one of the worst National Anthem’s ever … at least according to Twitter. The singer attempted an awkward jazzy rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, which even led to a few chuckles from NBA players, including Steph Curry and Draymond Green. Needless to say, it was an epic fail and folks were not kind about it.
In fact, the level of hate on social media forced Fergie to apologize. “I’ve always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA,” the singer told TMZ. “I’m a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best.”
Blue Ivy is no stranger to stealing the show OR putting her parents in check. During the Grammy Awards last month, Beyonce and Jay Z’s 5-year-old daughter seemingly silenced them when she felt her famous parents were clapping too much. This time, the celebrity kiddo stole the spotlight while sitting court alongside her mother and grandmother, Tina Lawson.
Rocking a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses, a Givenchy leather jacket valued at $1,500, and an electric blue Louis Vuitton bag valued at $1,800, the 5-year-old had the confidence of a grown adult. Not only that, but at one point, Blue was captured shaking her finger at Beyonce like “no, no, no.” Ahhhhh, yes, the antics of Blue will never get old.
Jamie Foxx had no problem reppin’ Black History month during his party on Saturday. The actor thew a NBA All-Star basketball tournament “Chacha The Wave” at his home and during the event, he told photographers “no white girls ’til March 1st.” Obviously that was a joke because Jamie and Katie Holmes have been an item for a few years now. Clearly, she approves of his no White girl stance.
And that wasn’t it! Foxx also had us weak after he stormed off from an ESPN interview after being asked about Katie. When asked about his rumored romance, the actor literally took off his head phones and walked away.
Guess Jamie Foxx had to go and couldn’t answer a question about playing basketball with Katie Holmes 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/XYq9fPHt3v

Cardi B is also one person we can count on to give us some good entertainment; even when it’s not intentional. During Sunday’s game, the female emcee was caught heavily jamming out to her own track, “Bartier Cardi.”
