Last month, you might’ve heard angels singing because Will Smith finally hopped on the bandwagon and officially joined Instagram.
Over the past few weeks, the actor has had a field day on the social media website, posting hilarious photos, sharing personal home videos and even showing off his beautiful wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, whom he just celebrated 20 years of marriage with.
But given the nature of Will’s perfectly timed and entertaining posts, we’ve all been awaiting the first post of 2018. And it’s safe to say, Will took the opportunity to bless us with some wise words.
Shared on January 3, the Bright star explained in a video the life changing moment when Arnold Schwarzenegger gave him top notch career advice. “It was 94′ or something like that,” he started.
According to Will, while in a room with Arnold, Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone, he shared that he wanted to be the biggest movie star in the world. That’s when Schwarzenegger told Will: “If your movie is only big in America, it doesn’t matter. You’ll be a movie star only when you are a movie star in every country in the world.”
The actor turned politician continued to tell Will, “You have to travel, you have to go, you have to meet the people.” Will then suggested that the piece of advice “became the way that I started looking at movies. I wanted to be in every country in the world.”
Smith’s announcement followed big news that his latest Netflix film, Bright, was confirmed for a sequel. “ANNOUNCEMENT: Orc auditions for the @BrightNetflix sequel are now closed. Thank you. Have a nice day,” the official Netflix account tweeted on Wednesday morning.
