A crossover between Shonda Rhimes’ “Scandal” and “How to Get Away With Murder” is in the works at ABC. The exciting news was announced by Kerry Washington and Viola Davis via their Instagram posts, sharing photos from the sets of the shows.
Washington shared a photo of herself on set of “How To Get Away with Murder,” with the caption: “This spot look familiar?!”
While Davis shared a photo of herself on the White House set of “Scandal” with the caption: “Hey @KerryWashington, guess where I am?!
The crossover will see their respective characters Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating share the screen for the first time.
Shonda Rhimes also shared a page from the script.

An air date for the anticipated crossover has not yet been announced. “Scandal” is currently in its seventh and final season, while “How to Get Away with Murder” is in its fourth. All Shonda Rhimes’ shows will return with new episodes on January 18.
