This month there are a whole lot of amazing and highly-anticipated movies releasing. But with family gatherings and all that amazing food, we know you may not have time to see them all. So here are our picks for the 5 films you must see this holiday season.

Stars Wars: The Last Jedi

At the top of the list is Stars Wars: The Last Jedi and if you’ve already seen it, I’m sure you want to see it again. It’s just that good. The Last Jedi takes a deeper dive into Rey’s life and her relationship with Luke Skywalker. It’s visually stunning and all around a wonderful and emotional story. In theaters now.

All The Money In The World

Next I’d take my money and see All The Money In The World. You’ll be fascinated at how brilliantly Ridley Scott re-tells the true story of J. Paul Getty’s grandson being kidnapped, but also how he re-cast, re-shot, and re-edited the entire film in under one month after shocking allegations about Kevin Spacey came to light. In theaters Dec. 22.

Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle

If you’re looking for a good laugh check out Jumanji. Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson team up once again plus, Jack Black helps to deliver some laugh-out-loud moments. The film is a re-make of the 1995 fan favorite, and already has high Rotten Tomato scores. In theaters now.

Downsizing makes the list for it’s sheer originality and stellar performances by Matt Damon and newcomer Hong Chau. In the film Damon’s character and his wife (Kristen Wiig) decide whether or not to shrink themselves to live a more luxurious lifestyle. In theaters Dec. 22.

Molly’s Game

Ladies this one is for you. Molly’s Game not only stars Jessica Chastain but also heart throb Idris Elba. The film is written and directed by Aaron Sorken and is based on the real life story of poker princess Molly Bloom. Chastain goes all in (pun intended) and gives an award worthy performance. Not to mention so does Kevin Costner. In theaters December 25.
