Rapper Lil Peep has died at the age of 21 from a suspected drug overdose.

Gustav Åhr, the rapper’s legal name, was found dead on his tour bus on Wednesday night just before his show at The Rock in Tucson. According to officials, someone from his team found the New York rapper unresponsive around 8:50 pm.

Peep’s manager, Chase Ortega first broke the news via Twitter, writing: “I’ve been expecting this call for a year. Mother f*ck.”

Sarah Stennett, CEO of First Access Entertainment, wrote in a statement: “I am shocked and heartbroken, I do not believe Peep wanted to die, this is so tragic. He had big goals and dreams for the future which he had shared with me, his team, his family and his friends.”

She added, “He was highly intelligent, hugely creative, massively charismatic, gentle and charming. He had huge ambition and his career was flourishing.”

Stennett concluded, “I have spoken to his mother and she asked me to convey that she is very, very proud of him and everything he was able to achieve in his short life. She is truly grateful to the fans and the people who have supported and loved him.”

It’s unclear what occurred leading up to Peep’s tragic passing, but his final few social media posts are chilling to say the least. One of Peep’s last Instagram photos showed the rapper taking what appears to be a pill. The caption read, “fucc it.”

Just one day ago, he even wrote on Instagram, “I feel emptyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.”

Peep, who was known for his emo-infused rap style, released his first studio album, Come Over When You’re Sober (Part One), in August.

Several celebrities are speaking out on social media about the 21-year-old’s death. Juicy J simply tweeted: “R.I.P. Lil Peep.” Diplo tweeted, “peep had so much more to do man he was constantly inspiring me. I dont feel good man.”

The rapper’s ex-girlfriend, Bella Thorne, even responded in complete shock. “F*ck I don’t know what to say,” the actress wrote. “Peep you deserved more out of life. Life didn’t do your greatness justice.”
