New details are starting to emerge about the royal wedding the world is anxiously waiting for.
On Monday, the royal family confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially engaged and will wed in Spring of 2018. Now, just 24 hours later, the date and wedding venue are being unveiled.
Kensington Palace released a statement revealing that “the marriage of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle will take place at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in May 2018.”
The statement also confirmed that “Her Majesty The Queen has granted permission for the wedding to take place at the Chapel. The Royal Family will pay for the wedding.”
Prince Harry popped the question to the former Suits actress earlier this month while at home in London enjoying a nice dinner. “I could barely let you finish proposing, I’m like ‘can I say yes now?'” Markle said during their first interview as an engaged couple.
Harry chimed in, “She didn’t even let me finish. I was like ‘can I give you the ring?’ It was a really nice moment.”
The Prince presented the Los Angeles native with a stunning ring with real sentimental value. According to reports, the center stone is from Botswana where the two enjoyed a romantic getaway when they first started dating. The diamond is wedged between two diamonds from the Late princess Diana’s personal collation.
Once married, Markle will not have the princess title, she will, however, be labeled the Dutchess of Sussex.
