Eminem And Beyoncé Team Up For New Song “Walk On Water”

After teasing it for a few days Eminem dropped “Walk On Water” today with one big surprise … Beyoncé.

In a beautifully simple hook Queen Bey sings, “I walk on water, but I ain’t no Jesus/ I walk on water but only when it freezes,” while Em rhymes about failing to meet the high expectations put upon him.

“Why are expectations so high? Is it the bar I set, my arms outstretched, but I can’t reach?
I lose my grip like the flying trapeze, Into the dark I plummet …
Always in search of the verse I haven’t spit yet, will this step just be another misstep?/
To tarnish whatever the legacy or love or respect I’ve garnered/
The rhyme has to be perfect, the delivery flawless/
And it always feels like I’m hitting the mark
Till I go sit in the car, listen and pick it apart
Like ‘This sh– is garbage”

The raw, gritty and vulnerable song, produced by Rick Rubin and co-written with ‘Yonce and Skylar Grey (who co-wrote Eminem’s hit “Love the Way You Lie”), is rumored to be the first single from the Detroit rapper’s upcoming album, “Revival”. Em is set to appear on “Saturday Night Live” Nov. 18 as the musical guest — the episode will be hosted by Chance The Rapper — hopefully he performs this song with Bey by his side!
