When talking about relationships, Drake is pretty much and open book. But now, fans are getting a closer look inside the Canadian rapper’s personal life and the things he enjoys most.
In the new issue of The Hollywood Reporter, the rapper discusses his new clothing line, upcoming documentary and also, his love for Harry Potter. So here are five random facts you didn’t know about Drizzy.
Love for Harry Potter: “Yeah, I read them all,” he said, The rapper also is considering purchasing a first edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, which is on the market for $160,000. “I should get it. My birthday’s coming up. Maybe I’ll buy it for myself as a treat.”
Acting going to new heights: “When I get back into acting, I want to do things that make people go, ‘Wow, I didn’t expect that,’” the former Degrassi star said.
Owns expensive artwork: The rapper owns a prince of artwork that trans “Less Drake, More Tupac.” The piece cost a mere $6k. “I love it. I mean, people are entitled to their opinion, but this opinion, I’d just rather it be here than anywhere else,” he said.
When it comes to religion … : “I identify as Jewish,” Drake, whose father is Black and mother is Jewish explained. “I am a person who, you know, I talk to God. I just try to live a very good life, to be a good person. I’m not necessarily extremely religious, but my mom and I always do the high holidays together.”
How he landed role on, Degrassi: “Obviously, everything’s for a reason. I met this kid whose dad was an agent. I got the audition for Degrassi,” he recalled. “And I started going to a school for kids with outside commitments [in the arts and sports]. I met a lot of people from a different [more economically diverse] side of the city. My friends changed at that point, and I started coming into my own and finding myself.”
