Over the years “The View” has certainly changed, so when rumors began swirling that moderator Whoopi Goldberg was chucking the deuces, it really came as no surprise. The surprise, however, was that the comedian apparently did a 180 and decided that sitting next to Sara Haines, Jedidiah Bila, Paula Faris and Sunny Hostin was worth at least one more season.
Goldberg admitted to E! News that she definitely had one foot out of the door until a conversation with her daughter changed her mind. “I wasn’t coming back but my daughter said I think that’s a mistake because we’ve just had a major shakeup and you need to be a part of this conversation,” Whoopi admitted.
And although she’s decided to lend her voice to the cause once again, the actress still doesn’t enjoy the hatred she faces everyday. “I never thought I would get in as much trouble as I seem to have gotten in. You have to be prepared for half the country to hate you every day. It’s a lot to carry but that’s why I try not to look back,” she stated.
“The View” kicked off their 21st season this past Monday and air every weekday on ABC … do you watch?
