Tracee Ellis Ross tapped into her alter-ego, T-Murda, for an epic carpool karaoke sesh with rapper, Big Sean … and we are are here for it!
Clad in a pair of hoop earrings and a gold bottom grill, Ross aka Murda, rides alongside to Sean as they blast the rapper’s hit track, “Bounce Back.” It was all cute until Tracee started laying down tracks of her own. Fire, ya’ll.
Standing inside a studio in front of a microphone, T-Murda dismisses Sean’s lyrics and provides her own. “Don’t call me Tracee. It’s T-Murda. Rhymes like a subpoena. I’m about to serve ya. B–tch I raise the bar. I raise it furtha,'” she raps in the clip. “Spitting verses ears aint never heard of,” she rapped, adding “But I’m keeping it PG because I’m an aunt.”
She continues, “You know me as an actress first on Girlfriends now I’m on Black-ish. I see you eyeing my fashion. It’s Zuhair Murad—thanks for askin’. My smile’s big—that’s my passion. Natural hair. Big so it matches. Haters? Nah, no distractions. Got that Golden Globe winner status,
She adds, “Give me glass ceilings—I’m going to break through. Keep it so ill like a bird flu.”
It seems as though Ross knows all the hit tracks out today, but guess again. HipHollywood caught up with Ross at the 2017 Emmmy Awards to talk about T-Murda and that’s when she unveiled that truthfully, Murda doesn’t know any songs.
Had us fooled.
