Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter took to Twitter on Monday to confirm that her father is doing well after suffering a string of seizures.
“My dad is doing fine everyone! Thanks for the concerns. You guys are amazing,” she wrote. “Oh yeah .. & don’t believe everything you hear.”
Weezy was hospitalized on Sunday in Chicago after being found unconscious in his Westin Hotel room. After being rushed to Northwestern Hospital, the rapper then suffered another seizure.
The New Orleans native, who has a history of fits, was scheduled to perform at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas Sunday night but was not able to make the appearance.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances Lil Wayne will be canceling his previously scheduled performance tonight at Drai’s Nightclub located at the Cromwell Hotel,” the venue wrote on Instagram. “In lieu of his absence T.I. will be performing in his place alongside DJ Franzen for another installment of Sundrais.”
According to reports, Wayne has been put on bed rest and has been ordered to not fly.
Four years ago, the rapper spent several days in the intensive care unit at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after suffering three seizures in a row. At the time, the rapper confirmed that he is prone to seizures, but it was also reported that the 34-year-old was also hooked on sizzurp.
We wish Weezy a speedy recovery.
