Tennessee Titans star tight end Delanie Walker is dealing with a barrage of death threats following comments he made about NFL national anthem protests. Walker told fans not to skip coming to games if they were upset by the activism. Those words did not sit well with the White supremacist loser trolls of the Internet.

According to Walker, he and his family were threatened by several people for his stance. “The death threats that my family and I have received since my comments are heartbreaking. The racist and violent words directed at me and my son only serve as another reminder that our country remains divided and full of hateful rhetoric. These words of hate will only fuel me in my efforts to continue my work reaching out to different community groups, listening to opposing voices, and honoring the men and women in the Armed Forces who risk their lives every day so that we may have this dialogue.”

Walker accompanied his words on Instagram with an image of him meeting soldiers in Middle East this spring.

The Tennessee Titans fans are the best in the NFL. What we do on the field every Sunday would mean nothing without knowing we are supported by the city of Nashville and the fans that have been by our side over the years. One of the many things I gained from spending time in the Middle East on the NFL’s USO Tour this spring, is an appreciation for America’s core values and an even greater appreciation for the men and women that defend those values.  In being asked about our team’s decision on Sunday to stay in the locker room for the National Anthem, I used strong words to defend our right to make our own choices. Both my choice to spark dialogue for positive change and the fans’ choice to attend our games. It’s that freedom of choice that makes our democracy the envy of many around the world. The death threats that my family and I have received since my comments are heartbreaking. The racist and violent words directed at me and my son only serve as another reminder that our country remains divided and full of hateful rhetoric. These words of hate will only fuel me in my efforts to continue my work reaching out to different community groups, listening to opposing voices, and honoring the men and women in the Armed Forces who risk their lives every day so that we may have this dialogue. I am proud to represent the many faces of Titans fans and believe that only through a more respectful discourse can we achieves the goals of unity, peace and racial equality that I know we all strive for. The NFL star’s story is certainly believable. A quick comb through Walker’s comments demonstrate just how vile some folks can be.

“Delanie Walker, you’re a spoiled, spoiled cry baby just like those other anthem kneelers. Go kneel before a crippled veteran who lost his legs in combat. See how they came back from combat while being away from their loved ones. Yet you cry about injustice! Cry baby,” @ma.rtin9537 writes.

“Your kneeling is bringing a lot of racists and bigots out of the dark … and they are kneeling right beside and with you. You’re nothing but a disrespectful, over paid, crybaby POS. If you’re so f*cking worried about all the Blacks being shot by police, tell them to stop doing bad sh*t and put their hands up when told to. If you’re so fucking worried about the “mass incarceration of Blacks”, tell the phukers to stop committing crimes and they won’t be jailed!! SIMPLE !! BTW, more Blacks die from being shot by other Blacks … so tell your ‘homies’ to stop killing each other. See those men in uniform in your picture? You know why they do it? Because playing football, basketball or baseball only requires *one* ball. Oh, and a loud mouth attitude. Go put on a uniform and go do what these people do, and you might not be so quick to drop to your knees to please your fellow racists and bigots,” another person commented.

It’s also worth noting that the LOSERS posting these comments are in large part, troll accounts. They have no followers and are not following anyone.
