This is NOT the type of déjà vu you want to experience, but alas here Mystikal finds himself again, in an all too familiar situation.
The rapper, government name Michael Lawrence Tyler, was arrested on Monday for allegedly raping a Louisiana women. The incident occurred in 2016 and involved a woman who was at the Shreveport casino where Mystikal performed.
Investigators reportedly collected evidence at the scene matching Tyler’s and another man, 26-year-old Averweone Holman. Warrants were issued for both of the men for First Degree Rape. Holman was arrested days ago, Mystikal turned himself in on the afternoon of Aug. 21st.
According to KSLA, “Shreveport police are also looking for 42-year-old Tenichia Wafford of Harker Heights, Texas in connection with the case. Wafford allegedly tried to convince the victim to drop the charges against Mystikal and Holman.”
Unfortunately, this isn’t Mystikal’s first time behind bars for a sexually violent crime. The rapper spent six years in prison for sexual battery. He was released in 2010.
Currently, Mystikal is being held on a $2 million bond.
